Active Ingredient and Formulation
Ejal 40 contains 40mg of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid per 2ml, with a molecular weight of 1200 to 1800 kDalton – a medium molecular weight specifically selected to balance deep hydration with optimal tissue penetration and fibroblast stimulation. The product is formulated in a physiological, sterile, biodegradable and isotonic buffer, ensuring excellent biocompatibility and minimal risk of adverse reaction. Each syringe is pre-filled and supplied ready for immediate use.
Mechanism of Action
Once injected intradermally, the HA fragments activate fibroblast cells in the dermis, triggering the stimulation of new collagen and elastin production and restoring the components of the dermal matrix. The recommended administration technique for Ejal 40 is the proprietary 4-Point Bio-Revitalisation (4 PBR) method – 0.25ml is injected intradermally at four specific points on each side of the face using a 30G needle. This targeted approach ensures even distribution and gradual diffusion of the product through the tissue, minimising the risk of bruising, oedema and discomfort. The subcutaneous application promotes gradual tissue filling and activates intercellular matrix synthesis.
Treatment Protocol
An initial course of three treatments spaced two weeks apart is recommended, with full effects visible within three to four weeks of commencing treatment. Results last up to six months, with a maintenance course advised two to three times per year.
Ejal 40 vs Profhilo
Both Ejal 40 and Profhilo are hyaluronic acid-based biorevitalising injectables designed to improve skin quality rather than add volume. Ejal 40 uses a single medium molecular weight HA at 40mg/2ml, providing focused deep hydration and extracellular matrix restructuring.
