Key Active Ingredients
Tranexamic Acid is the primary brightening active in LUMI-MESO BRIGHT. A well-established skin-brightening ingredient, tranexamic acid inhibits the interaction between keratinocytes and melanocytes, reducing melanin production and the transfer of melanin to the skin surface. When delivered intradermally via microneedling, it significantly reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation, melasma and sun damage while improving overall skin tone uniformity and clarity.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a multifunctional active that inhibits the transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to keratinocytes, reducing pigmentation deposition at the surface level. It also strengthens the skin barrier, reduces post-inflammatory redness and irritation, balances sebum production and refines pore appearance and overall skin texture, making it particularly valuable in the post-microneedling recovery period.
Glutathione is a potent endogenous antioxidant and skin brightening agent that works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, a key step in melanin synthesis. It neutralises free radicals and oxidative stress within the skin, supports cellular detoxification, protects against environmental damage and promotes a brighter, more radiant and even-toned complexion. Intradermal delivery via microneedling significantly enhances the bioavailability of glutathione compared to topical application.
