Active Ingredient and Formulation
Hyalace contains 64mg of stabilised hyaluronic acid per 2ml, comprising an equal split of 32mg high molecular weight HA (H-HA, 1.8 to 2.2 MDa) and 32mg low molecular weight HA (L-HA, 50 to 100 kDa). The high molecular weight component provides immediate deep hydration and forms a moisture-retaining matrix in the upper dermis, while the low molecular weight component penetrates more deeply into the skin, activating fibroblasts and stimulating the production of collagen types I, III, IV and VII. Together, this dual-action complex delivers both instant and progressive rejuvenation – outperforming standard single molecular weight formulations at 30 to 50mg/ml concentration.
The product has a light, smooth consistency that spreads evenly within a 2cm radius of each injection point, ensuring full coverage without creating lumps, nodules or uneven distribution. No post-procedure massage is required.
Mechanism of Action
Once injected intradermally, the HA complex replenishes depleted hyaluronic acid in the skin, counteracting the natural breakdown process associated with ageing. The low molecular weight fraction penetrates the deeper dermal layers, triggering fibroblast activity and stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis. Clinical studies demonstrate an improvement in skin elasticity of 28% or more, with results lasting six to twelve months following a full course of treatment.
Treatment Areas
Hyalace is suitable for face, neck, décolleté and hands. It is indicated for patients experiencing skin laxity, dehydration, loss of firmness and fine lines associated with ageing or photodamage, and is equally suitable for preventative anti-ageing protocols in younger patients.
Administration
Hyalace is administered using a 29G or 30G needle via micro-injection technique just below the skin surface. For facial treatment, ten injection points are sufficient for complete coverage, with the product dispersing evenly within a 2cm radius of each point. A course of two sessions spaced four weeks apart is recommended, with maintenance treatments every six to twelve months depending on individual skin condition and metabolism.
